    It seems everytime I capture video longer than 7-8min, I get breaks (pauses) in the sound and once and a while a high pitched squeeck! Any suggestions on what is causing this problem?

    WINDOWS XP
    CELERON 1.7
    384MB DDR RAM
    ATI AIW VE
    Integrated AC 97 16-bit audio
    40GB & 20 GB 7200 RPM HDDs (20GB is for capturing)

    Are you using your computer while captureing? If so that will be a problem. Also your onboard sound should be upgraded to at least a current soundblaster or equivalent.
