Any way to convert R2 PAL DVD to R1 NTSC?

There are some British television shows that I just know will never be released on R1 DVD and I was wondering if there was any way I could rip the R2 PAL discs and convert them to NTSC? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Rip disc with DVDDecryter.
Open files in DVD2AVI.
Feed into TMPGenc and re-encode to NTSC.
Remake your menus.
Burn disc.

Watch new NSTC movie.

Try this trick. I have successfully ripped and converted sereval UK issued DVDs to play on many different US only/ non firmware upgradable DVD players. after ripping the contents to the HD using Smartripper 2.41, i used IfoEdit .95 to remove the region code restriction and replaced the PAL header with NTSC headers. Them Burn them onto a 4.7gb DVD+R. So far have not ran across a DVD player that will not play them.

I don't bother Converting NTSC 2 PAL because my DVD Player will play NTSC DISC's on my PAL TV.

Yes, BUT have you ever tried to play PAL on a NTSC TV?? Different story...

More details please. I would love to do that to many Region 2 DVD's.
