  1. Newbie here. I have DVD Decrypter, DVD2AVI and TMPGec. I was going in that order to create the VCD. How do you guys do it?

I want to try to compress it onto 1 CD, but is that possible? Any help would be grateful. Thanks.

  2. You sure can as long as quality doesn't matter. The lower the bitrate you use, the more data you will be able to fit onto one disc however it might not be viewable. KVCD's come out pretty good from what I have read so far I'm just not sure how to use the templates as of yet.

I use VCDEasy from the tools section on this site to copy my DVD movies to VCD's(plural). I normally find unless it is a really long movie i can fit most movies on to two disks. Hope this helps

  4. your way is one of the best ways to make vcd's. Once you get the hang of using those programs, get yourself dvd2svcd which allows you to do it all in one step (it still uses all the programs you mentioned, but does command line programming for you, so you just have to set it up, click go and come back hours later and it will be done. even though it says dvd2svcd it will make vcd's as well, just load up the vcd template. here's a site which shows both ways http://entiendo.gotnet.net
