Hi guys,
I've used my Panasonic NV-DS38B to transfer via firewire an hours worth of dv footage (of a tenacious D concert) to my hard drive in DV format Studio 8.
The footage dropped 160 frames once transferred to the hard drive and the quality has reduced significantly. There are evident horizontal lines/gaps visible and the motion seems to be slightly blurred. There are also gaps in the the audio every now and then (obviously where frames have been dropped).
To solve the audio issue i could record the audio track seperately and add it to the audio bit and mute the video track sound.
I used the PAL settings for DV capture so its not a NTSC/PAL conflict or anything.
What could it be???? What can I do???? Please help!!!!
Regards,
An upset Chris.

P.S. i have read the sticky but i need serious help!!!! i've tried alot!
