Hello all iam having some funny problems with getting my svcd's & vcd's to DVD-R. I have a PS2 a Toshiba and an Apex AD2500. I am looking for a way to author my DVD-videos so that they will play on all my players. If I want my disks to play on the PS2 I have to author in Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 (with the dvd patcher trick). The Toshiba plays only the video no audio. My Apex plays everthing. Also I have an RCA that plays the DVD-video but it's out of sync. Now if I rip a DVD-9 to DVD-5 it plays fine on all my players. I would like to put my svcd's on dvd-r and have them to play on all my players. Any help is appreciated.

Don't forget that with the VCD material, you'll need to upsample the audio from 44.1khz to 48khz, to be comaptible with the DVD specs. Obviously, SIF MPEG1 should be fine, as long as the GOPs aren't too long (although often you can get away with long GOPs if you have a forgiving player).
Arky ;o)
