I cannot capture above 352 x 240 using Vdub. If I try, I get an error that says "BtVid: Can't capture at this time. Capture attempted from full size (interlaced) overlay mode or QuartzSight camera overlay mode. Switch to preview mode to capture."
This happens whether I am capturing from my VCR or my TV card. If I do capture in Preview Mode, the video I see freezes while the audio goes on and the number of frames it drops is about equal to the number it is capturing! I have been working on this for weeks (not sure I have any hair left to pull out at this point) and can make great 352x240 VCD's but I want to make DVD's and capture at the higher dimensions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
Shelley

if your using XP, you need to go into legacy capture drivers get into the driver you are using to acpture with, if its like my happauge driver for my PVR it was set on 352x240 I had to reset it to 720x480 and also set it to CCRI601, custom and 4:2:2, now I can capture with VD in any video size.

Turn Preview off. Make sure you're using YUV2 colorspace. Capture using a codec that requires less CPU power (PicVideo MJPEG).
