i was saving a movie through virtualdub and used the divx compressor. now when i opened it in tmpgenc there is no video. do i need some sort of codec. i already have the divx 5.05 codec. maybe i just used the wrong compressor in virtualdub. any thoughts on what might have went wrong??

Possibly some bad encoding which causes TMPGEnc to be unable to open it, you can however try increasing the AVI Multimedia reader in TMPGEnc, and it may fix your problem, if not, you can always use VirtualDub to frameserve

im pretty sure it might have either be that i need some sort of codec or i should have used a different compressor in virtual dub. im able to oopen it with anything except for that there is no video, just audio.
