  1. Hi!
I have a problem with both flaskmpeg and dvd2avi.
Everytime I start to convert the file to a divx the program crashes.
It also crashes when I press the show output pad button.
Since both programs crashes i don't think there is something wrong with the programs.
    Does someone have any idea?

    Thx!
    /Alex

  2. Possibly the Codec you are using is causing the problem, try reinstalling it

  4. Hmm... ok, lets try this the hard way, first I want you to uninstall every single codec that may exist on your PC, and boot up! I want you to make sure not a single codec is there! try playing the file and see that it doesn't work!

Then, Re-Install Windows Media Player (I recommand nothing over 7.1) and then install these codecs only!!!

    Kristal Studio Codec Pack v4.33
    DivX v5.0.5 Video Bundle
    XviD (Koepi's Build) Codec

    And That's It!
Get GSpot and use it to open your file, and make sure it says that all the needed codecs for the movie exist, if they don't, write down what's missing and let me know.

  7. No I have lots of space left.
But there is one codec that I can't find. So some divx still works.
Can it have something to do with direct x? I installed direct x 9a and perhaps that is the problem?

  8. I Suggest you get GSpot v2.2, open that AVI which doesn't play, and it will tell you which Codec is missing, and that way you can install the correct ones

  9. I just formated the computer so I could start from scratch.
But the problem is still there!
I cant understand why becasue it worked fine before.
Right know I have only installed ffdshow ,EMpgDec20beta and there is also some codecs with Creative SB Live that I don't know anything about. (hardware drivers probably)

edit: It's not a divx that I'm trying to open, it's a vob file that I'm trying to convert to a divx.

  11. I open it with flaskmpeg and that works. But when i press the button "show output pad" the program crashes and it says that "the program has run into a problem and needs to be closed." It also crashes when I start to convert the vob to a divx.

  12. I think I might have found the problem.
I tried to open some vob files from another movie and those worked fine!
So I'm guessing that I ripped the dvd wrong
The other dvd movie that I ripped had lots of diffrent vob, bup and ifo files and they where all in a catalog named video_ts.
The one that didn't work only had five vob files.
I hope this is the problem so I don't have to keep thinking about it!

    Thanks for your help guys!
    /Alex
