  1. I used DVDBackup to copy some anime DVDs onto my hard drive. Some of them were only about 3.9 or 4.4 gigs after copying. Can I just copy that file directly to DVD-R without using DVD2oneX?

I know this sounds like a no-brainer but I wanted to make sure since I'm down to my last DVD-R disc.

  2. yes, you can use toast, you dont need DVD2ONE, toast will tell you if there is not enough space

  3. No you don't have to use DVD2one if the files can already fit on one DVD-R. I have done this many times and have not had a problem yet. You just have to use DVDbackup to get the files on your HD.

There is nothing wrong with your method. In fact, if you were to copy a dvd2one made dvd-r thats exactly how you would go about doing it!

Dvd2one is what you would use when the backup dvd is more than 4.3 gigs. (most of the new dvd's are now much larger than 4.3 gigs, usually average of 9 gigs per dvd)

Dvd2one is simply a program for compressing (well actually removing unncessary components of the origional dvd) dvd's down to a single dvd-r without loosing much quality.

True, its no EXACT copy, but its pretty dang close if you ask me.

Just burn the backup using the same method you always do for burning video DVD's or look for the post here on how to properly burn dvd's using toast.

    Best of luck
