2+ cd problem with gordian knot

hi i am trying to do long dvd rips to 2 or more cd's with gordian knot 0.28 it all works great but when i want it to fill 2 cd's it ends up only filling 1 1/2 cd's so its wasting about 350mb that could be used for better quality, soon i plan on doing a 4 1/2 hour movie to 3cds and wanna sort this problem out, if anyone could help it would be greatly apreciated

what codec are you useing?
there is a limit on far a codec can do.you may have max out what the codec can do.so raising the bitrate wont make it higher or a bigger file.
it depends on the movie,it may work out on the other dvd.
what are audio format are you useing?
add the ac3,unless you dont like ac3.
