  1. Hi, i just download some music video clips which are named as .m2v files. I can get them to play in windows media player, but i need to convert it to vcd. But from what i've heard, a m2v file isnt supose to have both audio and video in it. Eiher way, can some please help me convert it to vcd as i've tried using TMPGEnc but no luck... thanx in advance

    For whatever reason, alot of music video's have been renamed to .m2v, even though they are just regular mpeg2 program streams (mpg.) You can rename the file ext to mpg if you like, but it really makes no difference. Just treat it like an mpg file and follow this guide https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc.htm

  3. i renamed the files to .mpg but when i tried to input them into TMPGEnc, it says they arnt supported or cannot be opened!!!! this is the name of the file if that helps
    2pac_f_nas-thugz_mansion_acoustic-svcd-2002.m2v or with .mpg

    any other ideas????

  4. be sure to have the mpg2 codec installed or the file is fake

    TMPEG requires you to have PowerDVD installed in order to open mpg2 files.
