conversion/tmgenc issue

Hey, I am trying to convert a pal svcd to ntsc svcd. First I riped the mpg from the bin using vcdeasy. Next, I try to load the mpg into tmpgenc (newest version 2.511.51.160.Plus) However, I get the error message, "cannot open, or unsupported" anybody know whats going wrong here? thanks,

Cannot open the BIN. Try renaming to MPEG. It may work.

.bin to .mpg

I think he said that he tried to load the mpeg and not the bin.

The problem is that it is an mpeg2 stream. TMPGEnc needs a plugin to read these mpgs. It's called m2v.vfp. There's a way to install it but I can't remember how I did it right now. Just follow the instructions that come with it.

you can also load the mpeg2 file into dvd2avi and save the project. it will create a d2v file that can be loaded into tmpgenc.
