Hey everyone, I captured a still frame from this movie and I want to see if anyone notices a problem in this pic:
This was taken from the 2-DVD set i bought from a local video store a few weeks ago, 'The Ten Commandments', one of my favorite movies. I just wanted to see if anyone notice any kind of flaw in the movie above and give some feedback. Thanks![]()

Maybe you could be a little more specific. If you're talking about his arm it shouldn't be to surprising considering how the special effects where done that long ago.

@ VideoTechMan
yeah, MpegEncoder's right. That was done LONG ago, when technoledgy
was quite poor to begin with. It could also be tained (by your store) or it
could possibly have ben edited for DVD (if dvd) to fix some things as best
as possible. That partial arm is a mess though.
But, if you noticed some of the blue areas, that was probably a poorly done
blue screen edit or something like that.
Hay, but you should be having the need pause a movie just to find a few
flaws though. Just sit back and enjoy it. You have to realize that back in
those days.. yada yada yada..
I guess in some way or another, that was the first "blue screen of death" hehe..

I guess I am beginning to have a more detailed eye when it comes to video now....I dont know if this flaw is in the VHS version, but it could be a possibility that that flaw appeared during the remastering of the movie to DVD. Esp for a movie made in the 1950's.

VideoTechMan there nothing you can do it not a flaw but what you seeing old style overlay use back in thoses days.

Oh I know SHS...i dont intend to do anything about the flaw, just mainly taking note for observation purposes. For most home viewers something like that they wont notice anyway, but for a professional they would notice it. But yeah, with the technology and techniques they used in the old days is vastly different compared to what we have now.
Ain't video great?
