its a server application and would be overkill to purchase to use it only for video editing, plus it does not have some multimedia capibilities as does Xp or even 2000 so sayth MS . of course you do know about it calling home for it to be able to function and track illegal copies ?

  4. Hi, I'm running windows 2003 server and i'm having problems playing dvds. I'm using Power DVD and I'm getting this erroe message:
PowerDVD does not support the current display mode. (DDraw Overlay mode is recommended) Please lower the screen resolution and color depth, for example, 800x600 with 256 colors. Or you may adjust the refresh frequency, for example, to 75 Hz.

I've tried practically everything, but cant cant get the dvd working. Can anyone of u guys suggest something to me. I would be really grateful.
    Cheers

    Hi All.

I have Server 2003 installed and I watch DVD movies, burn DVDs and Cds without any problems and also I think it is the best for video editing. Server is the best OS that come from Microsoft. Much faster, better memory management.

There is one but. You have to enable services to do that. I have guide
how to convert to workstation if someone like to have it I would be more than happy to do it.
