letter box eliminator

i'm looking for a dvd player like the samsung dvdp231 that gets rid of black bars on the top and bottom giving you full screen.....as far as i know samsung is the only one that makes this feature..or am i wrong...i was gonna get this player ,but i heard it goofs on vcd's.....so if anyone knows of a good player that can handle

1.good progressive scan
2. letterbox eliminator
3. plays vcd's and svcd's
please let me know..

kinda an oxy-moron.....progressive scan and the zooming in feature to eliminate the widscreen aspect ratio.
