I own an LG 5353 player and did the region code, VCD and SVCD hacks. This unlocked a couple of menus (5.1 speaker settings, PBC) but there's still one that doesn't show up, the TV-OUTPUT SELECT menu.

1. Could I change the prom to a higher series model just by remote?
2. ... or update the firmware by CD-R?
