  1. Hello People,

I'm just confused of which has a better capturing quality in sound. Can somebody help me which is better in capturing sound in video recording is it plugging to Line-in connector or in the Auxilliary connector.

I'm using a pinncle pctv and sound blaster audigy soundcard and I really don't know which connector has better sound quality?

    Any comments are very appreciated.

    jcosido,

    Doesn't really matter...

I have Soundblaster Audigy too and I'm a REAL audiophile!!! I did several tests with different inputs of that card and noticed that there isn't any difference...

    Forgot to mention...

Mute al unused inputs (eg. mic) so they don't pickup any noise!!!!
And use decent shielded cables and do not let these cables pass High Voltage cables or power supplies, cause they than can pickup some hum...

  4. Hi there HAGGARD,

You were right about what you suggested to me, thanks. Now I'm having a little problem with my captures audio. It seems after I have captured it from my VHS the sound is very low, I have set the Line-in Volume to full but I still have a very low recorded audio.

Can I get a correct volume if I also put the speaker volume controls to a little bit louder? (I mean the volume control on the physical speakers)
I used windvr 2.0 in capturing.

Then again thanks for the help.

    jcosido,

The problem you describe is very common... I use a tapedeck (Pioneer, duno if others also work) to boost line input.
Connect the video from the VCR directly to the capture card and the audio from the VCR thru the tapedeck to the computer.
If tapedeck is set to recording (just press record and pause) the incoming audio is amplified by the deck and passedthru the output of the deck.
By adjusting the recordlevel of the tapedeck, the outcoming audio should also be adjusted... This is better than digitally boosting!!!

    hope this works for you!
