  1. Have fixed a lot of avi, mpeg1, and mpeg2 files, but this one has me completely beat

    The movie plays just fine in Windows media player, but wont even open up in WinDVD (the file number 1 has invalid format).

    Efforts to fix it have been as follows:
    1. Mpeg-corrector (which sux anyway), did nothin
    2. De-multiplexing with TMGEnc gives a 27mb video file (should be 750mb)
    3. Will not open in NanDub (MPEG Import filter: pack synchronization error)
    4. And this one real peduliar: M2-edit. Opens it fine. Plays it fine. But if you try the save it (Trim it), program or video only, you get an error: Failed to perform first fill for blankaudiosrc.

    There has to be a way to extract and repair this damn video

    Any help, greatly appreciated

    open in windows moviemaker. save as wmv. change .wmv to .asf. reenconde in tmpgenc.

  3. just recoded it with tmgenc and it is fine. No need to go throiugh all those conversions u suggested
