  1. hi guys i cant seem to get to convert any xvid's with ac3 sound and get them right so is there an idiots way of doing things with one step

    i tried converting with tmpgenc but when i ply in home dvd the sound is there for first 5 mins of film then it goes off

    any ideas

  2. Use DVD2SCVD with CCE as your encoder. You need version 1.1 build 1 and it will do evrything for you including convert the AC3 sound and it will handle the xvid file.

    you can choose mpeg 1 or mpeg 2 output to suit yourself.

    I second Tompearson, DVD2SVCD can do what you want with less headaches than most guides. You should read the how to's for it, since you are not using it in it's default mode (it works fine with TMPG also).
