  1. I would like to separate songs in DVD Video then using DVD Author to create chapters and menus so I can select the song I want to play in beginning. Can someone tell me how? Thank you.

  2. If I understand you correctly you want to extract out only the audio portion of a DVD?

You can do this by de-muxing the VOB files. Most DVD Rippers can do this (eg. smartripper or DVD Decrytper), but here's how you do it with smart ripper.

    1) Run smartripper and choose the disc (or if already ripped VIDEO_TS folder)

    2) Choose the title with the audio stream of interest

    3) Click on 'stream processes', then click enable streaming process.

    4) Choose the audio track you want (normally there are several, english, spanish, DTS, 2ch, 6ch, etc). And then click on de-mux

    5) Click on run/go

This will de-mux the audio from the VOB files. You'll get an ac3 file containing the audio of interest. You can then convert that to mp3 or wav (or whatever):

  3. I believed his question is how to create a DVD with only the songs he wanted (video and sound) from a DVD rip.
    Here is my way:
    1) use Smartripper to rip, one VOB per chapters
    2) delete unwanted VOBs, and delete .IFO, .BUP (next step will re-create the correct .IFO and .BUP).
    3) follow the guides (click GUIDES on the left) on how to create DVD from VOB files.
and... bingo you will get a DVD with only the songs you want
