Hello,
The first tiime I used TMPGEnc the following happened:
Source File: captured using Windows Movie Maker - WMV
After encoding, TMPGEnc produced two files, one a M2V file for video and the other was a WAV file for the audio. The video, according to AVIcodec, was a MPEG1 (VCD) file.
Just now, I used the same type of source file, but this time TMPGEnc produced one file, a MPEG2 (SVCD/DVD) file.
I'm using the Wizard ( that's why posting in Newbie..) and I thought I used the same settings as the first time. I've been using a user guide to using TMPGEnc from this site.
Does this indicate I've changed the settings or, because of the file content, even though the source was the same, TMPGEnc encoded it differently?
Both times in the Wizard, I requested the output file be 50% of a DVD disc. The first time this worked out ok, so I could put two one hour D8 tapes on one DVD. This time I'm not sure this will happen.
As always, I appreciate your time and any input.
Thanks!
