HELLO!, I am new here...nice to meet ya...
Here is my problem...I downloaded a movie which is a .avi file. I wish to burn it into VCD format to allow me to see it on a VCD player. But when I use Nero to burn it into a CD and play it...the movie is upside-down!!! What happen? Anyway to flip it back? I tried Virtual Dub b4, but I dunjno why the program doesnt seem to work...half way the compression, it crash the program...
Then I use TMPGEnc, to encode it...it work well but it could not open the audio file...means after the encoding process, there is no sound!
Later my friend ask me to use Panasonic MPEG Encoder...wow, the program can accept both video and audio file...but it took 4 hours to encode it...somemore it crash like Virtual Dub...I am running out of option...what should I do?
Thankz in advance...![]()

1. Do not post about illegal downloaded movies. Just say I have downloaded a film do not mention the name.
2. Over the past months I have seen many posts about this same film and it appears that there are many corrupt versions out there.
3. The reason you are not hearing any sound is probably due to a codec problem (but the file could be corrupted as I said). Download Gspot from the tools menu and scan the file. Install the codecs that it quotes here. If this does not remedy your file download it again.
4. Extract the audio to a wav file in virtual dub and then use tmpgenc to convert using your original as the video input and the wav file as audio.
5. If you have any more problems post back.

I didnt notice that he had mentioned the name and so what,
Did that become a crime recently I thought hosting these movies was the crime and not mentioning the name of the movie not very friendly as well
surelt a sit dedicated to the making and copying the movies is more of a crime "POT AND KETTLE" springs to mind.
Im not trying to start an argument but this guy is quite clearly new at this and probably needs help not hassle. -
Downloading movies that you (most likely) don't own is illegal, while backing up movies that you do own is perfectly legal.
hardcoreruss wasn't being particularly harsh. Were he even slightly harsh, it would be justified. It's like a guy from Amsterdam going to a social gathering in the U.S. and whipping out his hash pipe. People are going to be all over him. Even if someone's a n00b to encoding/ripping doesn't mean that they're ignorant of the law (and they shouldn't be).
And as far as the "help, not hassle", hardcoreruss gave him that too. -
