    I got quite a collection of VCDs (mostly tv episodes) saved up and use Ulead Movie Factory 2 (MF2) to save to DVDR. If its standard VCD settings you need only change the mpeg settings and it will convert the audio for you, 44k -> 48k audio. This is what I do:
