My friend has a Sony DVDS735D player. His son inserted a dvd and it came up with C1300 error message. The book states that this error code stands for dirty disc. Since then he dvd player wont play any discs at all. He has tried the disc in another player and it works fine. Anybody had this problem or heard of it before?![]()

This happened to me ... just yesterday. My player is a Sony DVP-S360 (about 2 years old). What type of DVD did you have a problem with? I had just burned a movie onto a Memorex DVD+R. In fact, after the first try failed, I burned another copy. The 2nd disc failed again in exactly the same spot. The opening moments of the DVD play for about 10 seconds & then the same error message pops up & the disc stops playing. Do we think it is a compatability problem between the DVD+R & the DVD player? Should we try a different brand of DVD media?

Not sure what type of disc was being used, only that it was a dvd. May have been a region'all' or a dvd not region 2. I don't think the player was multi region.
