As alot of you know I have been working on a project for about one month now and i am about to go crazy. My media is Micro-Mv format which I capture using fire wire via movie shaker by sony. I export the file in DV AVI format. I then used Pinnacle Studio to overlayed .wav sound files to the video. (Editing) Next, I re-saved via HUFVY format AVI, and pulled out the audio via cool edit, and saved as pcm audio. Third I used tmpegnc to encode to mpeg-2, without audio 8,000 bit. I used Maestro to do the authoring and walla I made my first DVD. My problem is the audio sounds terrible, not even close to my pcm files. And The video is better then the svcd but no where near my original.
What am I doing wrong. I am starting to think that my problem might be at the capture level. I have no idea what to do next, any insight would be very well appreciated.
Thanks!!

wait, how many generations is the sound going through? sounds like more than 2 (including the original) which can't be good.

the orriginal sound is just for synch purposes, once i have the two audio tracks synched up i mute the tape audio and use the clean .wav file. So then its burned and i use cool edit to withdrawl the sound from the master out of my editing program. It is only going through one generation.
