  1. i seprated audio using virtual dub from a divx file to avoid the sync problem after the speration i found out that the wave file the audio fil is about 1:18:09 long and the video is 1:21:29
    the original download movie file also has big audio sync problem
    what can i do now
    can anyone plze explain coz iam newbie

    I don't know if you have solved the problem, but here is a suggestion.

    Load the AVI file into VirtualDUB (use a new version, such as 1.5.1 to find the filters I suggest).

    Go to the audio menu and select Full Processing Mode. In the same menu, check the option "Use Advanced Filtering".

    Then, in the same menu, go to Filters. The filters form will load.

    Click Add and double click the "Stretch" filter. Then click on close.

    Double click on the Stretch filter box that is added in the form. A dialog with the Stretch ratio is shown.

    Calculate the stretch ratio you need, by converting the audio and video lengths into seconds (e.g. 1.18.09 is 3600 + 18x60 + 09 sec). Divide the video length by the audio length and enter the result with as many decimal digits as possible.

    This will stretch the audio so that it becomes as long as the video.
    The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
