    oldfart13,

Since it's unlikely I'll be dating anytime soon, can you give the full group name to look for? Thanks.

FYI: just be aware that this show is already aired in average quality or less
    to begin with.
    .
The colors are more chizeled or sunflare looking (depending on the scene area,
to be more noticable than others) And, you can give thanks in part to those
entities reducing the bitrate when airing this show (and others too)
But, this show is ALWAYS shown in reduced quality.. and most likely for obvious
    reasons

If you are going to capture w/ DV (ie, pass-through) then watch out for your
encoding, cause if you have one of those cams (as I do, canon zr-10) you'll
    see:
    * color washout (level of intensity may vary from cam to cam)
    * and/or in combo, will add more noise (blocks) to your final MPEG-1/2 encode.
...But, this may depend on certain conditions.

These issues above will produce some form or level of reduced quality.

My advice would be to "capture" directly to .AVI file ie, Huffy or uncompressed
or similar, and then encode to MPEG-1/2.. but divX seems to come out in very
good quaity, and w/out those issues above.

I have to redo this project because I had some issues w/ my CAM. But, those
parts that I did do, I didn't like the final results (MPEG-2) But, the divX scenes
    came out great.

I haven't decided which card to use (osprey-210, or advc-100) for this.
SOOOO, what I've decided is this..
    A) I'm going to setup my ADVC-100 to DV to my main pc here (14gig) and,
    B) have my Osprey-210 set for my 2nd pc
And I will samiltaniously capture w/ both devices.

..then I'm going to see which one gives me the best quality. Ben meaning to do
this for a while now. So, now's a good'a time as any.

Unfortunatly for some of us, they plaster a ga'damn logo on our screen.
in some countries, they don't believe in tainting viewers movie experiences.
    Those peoples are lucky
