    copy the vcd .dat to mpg to your hd with isobuster or vcdgear www.dvdrhelp.com/convert#other
    and convert to svcd with tmpgenc
    www.dvdrhelp.com/tmpgencsvcd
    and burn with vcdeasy

    BUT you will lose a lot of the video quality, Garbage in Garbage out. And resizing up the image resolution is never good(352x240 to 480x480). So I don't see why any would like to do it...except that your dvd ONLY support svcds or something...

    Cheers Baldrik, Well i am new to the world of ripping,burning etc but i want to convert a VCD to either SVCD or DVD and a SVCD to DVD, basically to ressolve stand-alone player issues and also to see if it can improve quality on the SVCD to DVD.
    I appreciate the info , thanks.

    ArA1337: you wont improve quality reencoding SVCD2 -> DVD. I'd try making a DVD-SVCD (SVCD on a DVD) first to see if thats compatible with your system. If not reencode to proper DVD: Will be compatible, will lose a little quality & will take ages!

    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
