  1. On one of my DVD's it seems to have a problem around chapter 14 on playback where it just stops responding on the stand alone players and will lock up PowerDVD on the computer. The disc has some small scratches nothing big that I can see. I tried to rip just the VOB thats the problem however that doesn't work.

    I seem to remember someone saying they had this fix or something (liquid) they put on a disc to make it work long enough to recover the data and at least do a backup.

  2. your local video store should have the stuff to fix it, i dont know about where you live, but here in NZ they charge $10 per DVD fixed.

  3. try skip doctor..they sell around 30 bucks US..I have used it and it works great.

  4. For scratch, get some Tamiya Compound (can be found at hobbyshop)

    But I have a DVD (commercial) with no scratch at all on it, and it stop at the same place everytime. maybe a bad press
