  1. Hi All,

Just a quick question in relation to this wonderful program. A mate and I have different settings for the following option:

Under DVD - Recording Type I have Track at Once (TAO) Not Closed and he has Track at Once (TAO) Closed.

What is the difference between the two. I realise one closes the session and the other doesn't, but I ask because even though we have different settings, our method of DVD Decryptor to DVD2One Full Disk to RecordNOW DX is exactly the same. Both settings produce a working copy of the original on any of our standalones.

    Any ideas?

You answered your own question. One option closes the discs of more writing while the other leaves open. In my opinion for a DVD movie the session should be closed and not left open.

  3. Well thats just my point. I have NEVER closed the session and have NEVER had a problem on 3 different standalones and my DVD ROM. Your idea of closing the session is valid, yet leaving it open has made no difference for me.

  4. Your lucky IMO. When I first got my DVD burner I made about ten coasters because the stupid EasyCD Creator program won't even allow you to close a DVDR and no discs would play on any of the players I have until I bought RecordNow Max and burned a discs that was closed.

    SnoopX,

I have made about 50 back-ups and I checked last night my settings and I also have the session left open. No problems here either. I will start closing the session though. I still think leaving it open can cause problems.
