  1. In order to learn these two programs I wanted to take a two disc backup I made with DVDX Copy and make it into a single file again. I was able to do just that but I ran into a small problem, the message that appears at the end of the first disc of a DVDX Copy that says "Insert second disc". This text is added to the end of the last VOB file on the first disc, is there a way with VobEdit or IFOedit to get rid of this text?

Play around with the VOB stripping in IfoEdit, that should do the trick!!
You can use the preview option in IfoEdit to determine which VOB id the "Insert 2nd disc" message has, then strip this VOB id...

To have all the menu's working again you need to have the original IFO files from the DVD9, quite some puzzling...

Hey thanks I will try that. Funny thing is I was looking at the VOB files of the first disc using NeoDVD and I can't even find this message however if I play the disc to the end I get the Insert second Disc. It must be embedded in some other files weird.

I've done it with the crop function of DVDShrink. Then, just run it on through with no compression.

That's a great idea since at least I know what I'm doing sort of in DVDshrink.

  6. Hey Triple_Helix You're a genius. I was able to find and crop out that text message with DVDshrink plus it even wrote a new set of IFO and BUP files for me.

  7. Bob W... If you can find a way to keep the chapters from disc two -- renumbered, of course -- please post it. I haven't figured that one out yet.

I figured that out yesterday. All you need is VobEdit and IFOedit and there is a guide for doing that here.

Been there, done that. I joined them using the guide, but only got chapters for the first half. I've tried it a couple of times with the same results. Still, it looks the same as my 9-5 backup, because it wasn't compressed by DXC in the first place.
