I have used TMPGEnc version 12j with it's provided MPEG-2 DVD template. However it's files wont work in either DVDit! or MyDVD. Any idea why? I know the versions of MyDVD and DVDit! that I have are the strip down versions that came for free with my Pioneer DVR-A03 drive and my video capture card. Any idea if I need to get a better Authoring program. I hear great things about Spruce, but I can't find a full version anywhere.
Please someone give me some help! I have had my Pioneer drive for 2 months and havent ben able to burn 1 DVD yet! The encoder built into MyDVD and DVDit! is very poor quality and takes longer then hell to encode anything.

I think the sonic software is fussy about the max bitrate you encode at. I've found some useful stuff on the sonic user forum http://forums.sonic.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi
What type of mpeg are you trying to encode ? DVD, camcorder etc. -
DV Camcorder video. Shot with my Sony PC9 camera, and I used Adobe Premiere to capture.
