Whats going on here, I heard people talking about this before, but now it's happening to me.
I downloaded the New verion of Nero last night from there website, burned a DVD no problem.
Today I went to the computer, looked at the nero folder, all I seen there was Nero Express, I don't like Express and I don't know why reg. old Nero wasn't there, so I removed it, and reinstalled it, now after it burns the Disc, it wants to hold the media in the disc drive, like a mother wanting to hold her new born baby, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!! Sorry, but I haven't seen a program hold media since burning on CD's was a new thing back in 9....6'

  2. the first problem regarding Nero switching to Nero Express is a bug some people have. It is VERY simple to rectify. I no longer use Nero but I remember there is a button which will switch to Nero Express FROM Nero burning ROM. I remember going to the site and seeing there is a guide which tells you how to switch between the two. Just go to ahead.com and check out the guide.

The second problem you are having is probably due to an option within Nero which gives you the choice of "ejecting" your burned disk AFTER burn or NOT ejecting the disk. It appears that you had burning rom configured to eject your disk and Nero Express is configured the other way around. Again, just change the default setting to whichever you desire.

  4. I haev heard of problems like that, I read it somewhere that if you type in the wrong key code it will do that instead of telling you that you've entered the wrong or expired key code...how true that is I don't know. I myself don't use nero as I have had problems with it and mine is a legit copy.. stuff that I burn on nero just doesn't play right. I have been using recordnow max and I've tried gearpro dvd and they both work..

    just my .02 cents

i use nero, not the latest one however, i have no problems burning anything from svcd to data disk, perhaps it depends on ur system configuration, or u may need new cdrw drivers

That is true, however, as I mentioned above, it is very simple to revert back to burning ROM or vice-versa.

  7. And I burn Video DVDs all the time with Nero from Folder, and ISO Images.

I prefer that the disk stays in the drive until I remove it, personal preference. This way I can start a burn on a 1x dvd and shut down the computer when done, turn off the monitor, go to bed and it is ready next time I use the computer.

    YMMV

  8. If you want Nero to eject like I do after it's done burning. Use imgtool

  9. Before doing anything else do what defense suggested, I have Nero, and more often than not it is just a change in preference settings. Nero Express did the same thing to me for a while, but I went in and changed preferences, no biggie, I just can't remember where it is exactly, but the disc eject thing is under File > preferences > expert features.

It just doesn't stay in the Tray, it stays in the Tray after 100%, and the time keeps counting, I have to restart the computer to get the disc out.

I have been using RecordNow Max to burn my DVDs, but couldn't figure out how to tell it to not verify after burning. I switched to Nero and everything seemed to work fine. Then I discovered none of the disks I burned with Nero would play on my main standalone DVD player. When I insert the disk it starts spinning up and displays "VCD" for a few seconds and then stops. The disks work fine in my DVD ROM and my other standalone. Needless to say, I switched back to RecordNow Max.

I been using RecordNow, after I learned that it will burn *.img files that my top dollar DVD Mastering software makes, I fell in love.
But it's strange, all my Video DVD's that I make in Nero work, it's just this disc holding Crap I don't like. I have to switch the computer off to get the disc out, that a load of Sh*t.... lol.

Interesting, when NERO is done burning what exactly do you click on? Cause it always ejects fine for me after clicking OK then dismissing the Burn dialog.
