  1. I'm using CCE SP, when I tried to convert a 23minute AVI file into mpg, it makes a 1.1 GB mpg file. TMPGenc makes around the same size as my input file. Am I doing something wrong? Also why can't I input a seperate audio stream like I can in TMPGenc?

IN CCE SP, I'm encoding with MPEG-1 System

Within CCE did you right click on the selected avi and set the mpeg options. It sounds like your bitrate is probably defaulted to 6000.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

If you plan on making a videocd to play on a standalone DVD player then choose that option for "mode" and it will set the bitrate to standard for you.

If your DVD player accepts off spec (x)vcd then you can boost it up to 2500 if that's the only clip that will go on the CD. A 23 minute mpeg should fit at that bitrate.
