  1. hi,
ive been browsing the forums for a few days now and i still dont have an answer!
im trying to convert an avi file into dvd format, so i used tmpeng and converted it to mpeg format, but when i burn it onto dvd it wont play in my stand alone dvd player, why i heard that the files were supposed to be vob, ifo and bup files, if so how do i get them into this format
    replys appreciated

you have to author a dvd. https://www.videohelp.com/author
    His name was MackemX

  3. u can demux the mpeg file so that u have a .m2v file and a mpa file using TMPGEnc. then u can use ifoedit to turn them into .vob files. just select dvd author at the top of ifoedit and u will get another window. in here just input the video and audio files, click on a destination folder and hit start. after its done it will make all the vobs as well as .IFO and .BUF files too. just make sure that ur dvd player can play DVDx. i think thats what they call it. i have an apex 1100w and it can play this type of format.

  4. I just use a program called 'NeoDVD Plus" to do that. It's simple and will create all the files you need plus burn the DVDR for you.

Neodvd has to reencode the video file unless you captured it with neo,
i would stick to ifo if you are happy with tmpeg results neo will reencode at real time on my machine but still adding a heck of a lot of time onto your project
