    just purchased LITEON 48X24X48 writer but can only burn @12 speed. Computer spec = cpu athlon2000,512ram, 40 gig hard drive, dvd cd-rom any help would be appreciated.

    make sure the media u r using is the right speed, then check the burning speed from the program u r using to burn ie: nero, roxio or the 1 built in in windows xp, all of them are fully configurable for the burning speed, then is up to the disk
