Anyone know a way to get from a DV-out port into a laptop?
Got a mini DV camera with probably the worst written manual I've ever seen and I cannot find a way to dnload from the DVtape to the laptop PC.
Camera is a Canon ZR65mc and has miniDV out port as well as analog out ports. It also has an S-video out.
The laptop only has a usb port but it does have room for one pmci card.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Only 3 things are certain in life... Death, Taxes, and SPAM. Of these, only Death seems affordable!

You need a pcmcia firewire card. Under $50. But DV will eat 3.6MB per second, and there may be other issues - laptop drives are usually smaller & slower than desktop drives, and there's usually only one.
