Out of 6 Samsung BeAlls I have burnt, 2 have gone U11 in the first 40 secs, but have managed to Burn Correctly after they go into recover mode.
I have the Recorder and VCR running on a battery backup UPS to eliminate power surges/dropouts. I have the recorder in a cabinet with lots of space around it to keep it "breathing" and I have checked the DVD-Rs for smudges and dust before it goes in the machine. And my recorder was manufactured in Nov 2002
Using this "higher quality" media, I thought I would escape the U11 probs that have plagued others.
Has anybody else run into similar problems?

I am well beyond 300 Bealls on my HS2 with no U11s - sounds like the problem is with the recorder, not the media.
