My first attempt- I followed the newbies guide to fitting a movie on one CD using TMPGEnc from vcdhelp.com. I converted a 114 min DVD with chapters onto a 80min Cd and it worked perfectly. (the picture was not as sharp as the original but I can live with that) Then I tried a 105min and a 124min DVD but neither VCD works properly, they both freeze for a few seconds every couple of seconds. They appear to play OK when I test them on my computer but distort after the burning onto a VCD. I have tried changing the burning speeds but this doesnt seem to be the problem.
Can any one give me any advise on what they think the problem could be.
Would I have to make a new template with every different movie?
Even if the template would have the same information as my first time?
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Pipps

Are you using CBR or VBR? If you're using VBR then your minimum bitrate setting may be too low for your player. Enable padding and try a higher setting like 200 or 400. You might need to experiment a bit. :/
