  1. Hi All
I`m having major problems with my video system.
For some reson I can only render 3.99Gb of videoat a time.
    I`m using win2k and premiere 6 with a DV200 capure card.
As far as i was aware win2k did not suffer from the file size
limit as with other MS OS`s.

The pinnacle software uses instant video, I`v ticked the "openDML" box
which should alow me to capture/output up to 12TBytes.

I`m using FAT32 as my HD file system.

    Any thoughts would be welcome....

    Thanks Mike Tucknott

  2. Fat32 is your problem. You need to run NTFS.

  3. The problem is not win2000, its your file system. Fat32 only supports file sizes of up to 4GB - 1byte. You should convert your hd to NTFS which can in theory support file sizes of up to 16 terabytes

  4. Thanks
When I clean and do a complete reinstall of my OS I`ll go down the
NTFS route, lets hope this sorts the problem.

Actually, you can't use that HD on a fat32 system. There IS backward compatibility. I use my fat32 removable in my NTFS system when I need to backup my info from my P3-500.

Ya got that backwards! NTFS can read FAT. But not vice-versa.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
