I made an xvcd copy of a dvd using Tmpge for encoding and Nero for burning. The video came out very clear except for any fast moving scenes they seem to get blurry or streaky. It's almost as if the scene is to fast for the tv or dvd player to keep up with. Does anyone know how to correct this is it just settings in the encoding or burning process or both. Thanks for any help.

The deal with VCDs is you have a limited amount of space (ie: one 80 minute CDR) when you take a DVD thats usally 4.7gb or more and pare down to less than 800mb....you tend to lose some detail (data).....it is most noticable in very busy or high action scenes that require higher bit rates....movie gets blocky or jumpy .....blurs ...streaks.
One solution is to use varible bit rate encoding...average bit rate stays the same but high action scenes get more and low action gets less bit rate.
Also...decide what your happy with...your not making a DVD...it will never look like a DVD...but I have hundreds of xVCD movies and they are all better than VHS...in my opinion : )
