    I've got a simple audio question. My computer speakers are connected to the computer, but because the cable is too short, the left speaker is on the right and the right speaker is on the left and I was just wondering if there is something that can flip the audio output so the sound can be the same.

  4. What operating system do you have? I believe Mac OSX and OS9 have the option to flip the speakers in the sound countrol panel; I could've sworn that there was a similar (software) feature in XP, but now that it comes to it, I can't find it...

    my question to the original poster - why bother?

    if you are doing something so critical that it requires the correct orientation of the speakers, why don't you go the extra mile and set them up correctly, or get speakers that can be set up correctly?

    I was asking a simple question, there was no need for that.

    @ sLiMpAuLy: I haven't seen any extension cables for computer speakers anywhere.

    @housepig: My speakers are perfectlly fine. They're new, and they're very good, except the stupid little cable.

    @kuranuk: I have Windows 2000 Advanced Server

    Local radio shack, circuit city, dixons, currys, whatever. 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm plug, 2.99 of your local currency. mono ones also available to increase distance between the two speakers, where applicable.

    I find it helps to have two or three of them about as they're very handy and very cheap. Good for plugging onto the end of headphones for example if you wish to walk around inside a room with them connected to something other than a walkman, a cheap alternative to those unreliable, dodgy quality and incredibly expensive IR and FM 'phones.

    Back after a long time away, mainly because I now need to start making up vidcapped DVDRs for work and I haven't a clue where to start any more!

    Radio Shack has almost everything in terms of audio/video conversion cables. Or extensions.
    I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
