    I have an AOPEN DVRW2412Pro (made by Ricoh actually) and it is a 2.4 X drive. I just purchased 100 printable Ritek DVD+R's and none of them work. They are not recognized by my drive.

    I think it is because I need a firmware upgrade but not sure and when I try the firmware upgrade it does not upgrade.

    AOPEN uses a RFLASH that works under windows. It has you select the drive and the flash file BUT it does not recognize the drive name UGGG.

    Anyone know anything about this ???

    Send them back. Ritek is a crappy disc.

    Also, on a -R drive at least, you cannot use 4x discs on a non-4x drive, though some will allow for 1x speeds. May be your case here too.
