  1. I have a bin/cue and I'm trying to extract the svcd from it...First, when I load the cue file in IsoBuster, I get an error about "access violation at adress...." so I load the bin instead..."Extract but filter only M2F2 Mpeg frames"...When I play the video, the audio is out of sync...I tried just the dat file and renaming it to mpg, no problem except when I burn it, my dvd player doesn't recognize it....Any thoughts? TIA..

  2. I am fairly new to this but I will try to help..

When you extracted from isobuster did you verify that the extracted file was named with a mpg extension??? And is that the file you attempted to view????

If you didn't you might want to check out this guide:

  3. I don't understand this obsession people have to extracting things out of CUE/BIN images...

They are disc images. They are meant to be burnt. Reauthoring is NOT REQUIRED.

If the CUE/BIN image is damaged, I first suggest you open up the CUE file with Notepad and look at the FIRST LINE. This contains the path to the bin file. If the path is incorrect, fix it.

If that still doesn't work (i.e., you can't burn it), then use the CUE/BIN Regenerator tool included in GNU VCDImager Tools GUI here: http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html This will recreate a CUE/BIN image just from the BIN file.

  4. The reason I like to extract the mpg is because my dvd player reads any kind of mpg even if the disc is not in s/vcd...So I can burn two svcds on a dvd-rw as data (ISO) and it'll read it just fine...But I have no idea how to burn two image files on one disc....

If anyone ever has this problem, all you have to do is remux the file in tmpgenc and it will be back in sync....

  5. If you have a BIN/CUE that is an SVCD, use a program called "VCD Easy" to rip the BIN into an MPEG file. However, for normal VCD MPEG1's, you can rip Bin's/Cue's with a program called VCDGear.

How does bin/cue = SVCD? It seems to me it is a disk image that can be just about anything.
