hey i have been looking alover the net for a place to buy bulk dvds in canada. i just dont want to go buy them from the states it will end up costing me double the price. after the exchange then the bank would want some money on top of that for the exchange then it goes through costums. that will cost a bunch more money and the shipping. i dont care is i have to pay 2.00 dollars a cd its better then paying 10+ dollars at the stores
thanks dave

While some places may have 5 packs, I have yet to see any spindles of quality media (like BeAll) in Canada. Princo spindles are starting to show up, but that's not the quality I'm looking for.
I've been buying from the US for over a year, and I still save money even with the exchange rate. I'm buying from Meritline.com and even though shipping is expensive (they only ship to Canada by UPS Express) the price STILL comes out to about CAN$3.50 a disc, which is a full inclusive price including the cost for the media (and black DVD movie case) as well as all shipping costs, the cost for tax at the border, and includes the cost of exchanging currency. Total price per disc period.
Right now with the strong Canadian dollar it's even cheaper to buy from the US if you are buying in quantity. Check out the following thread for more info on alternatives: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=122632

I live in Canada (Calgary) and I have ordered from this site several times, they have sales from time to time and Im usually able to get DVD-Rs for about $1.45 after shipping and everything. I see the price has gone up a bit but check it out. They say they are Leda but they are Princos and they work great, over 500 burns not one bad disc yet.

Hi.
Check out www.ez-buy.com. They're in canada and sell a 100 pack of Ritek's DVD-R for 225$Can with free shipping (and no custom!).
NOTE: I have not used them yet but very likely will.
I just ordered the exact same from rima.com. My overall cost was $270 including the "nice" 56 Can$ UPS brokerage fee.
