  1. I have a Sony CR140E CDRW and a Sony DVP S530D. I have some files on DIVX format, but my vid. card kinda sucks, so I wanted to burn to play in my DVD. I understand my DVD will only support certain CD-R's so I am going to get Digital Media from circuit city. The only burning program I have is a shareware Feurio. I want to get a good burning program, preferrably free or shareware. I also understand that I need to get something to convert from DIVX to MPEG. Do you have any suggestions for these programs and any other suggestions for utilites or basic tips? I would appreciate this very much. Also, I downloaded Pearl Harbor in DIVX(.avi) format. It looks lousy on my comp and the sound is horrible. Was it possibly captured from a VHS tape? Anyway, anxios to start burning. Need help.

  2. Every one here rips/encodes differently and have their own way to do things. However there are sites (including this one that have guides using all kinds of programs. ) Welcome advice, ask questions, but YOU will have to find what works for the setup you have.

  3. And your DivX of Pearl Harbor is prob poor because of the source that the DivX is from. Probable a camcorder. Don't get frustrated with quality, after all the movie will be out on DVD soon enough
