    Is it possible to use DVD disc to make VCD. If possible, that means I can have up to 4 to 5 hours of videos in the DVD disc using VCD format. Can the regular DVD player able to play this or it would confuse the player.

    Your looking at it wrong I think.

    Can you make a DVD with Bitrates and resolution comparable to VCD?
    Yes or very close
    and you can get 4-6 hours on a DVD this way.

    Maybe CVD with 352x480 @ 2000 bit rate to start, but I warn you the results may be better than VCD. Trail and error to find a fit for your needs.
