  1. i've just downloaded a couple of songs from a concert from which i'm trying to make a vcd.

when i'm joining a couple of mpeg-1 videos I get a slight pause between parts... how can i avoid this? if it's possible?

when i'm playing the vcd on my dvd-player the video doesn't cover the whole tv-screen, it's in the upper left corner. the mpeg is in the size 320x240 (ntsc).. how do i change it so it fills the tv-screen?

  2. Try NTSC 352x240 which is the VCD resolution. Note that the QT Player doesn't correctly report MPEG resolutions so use apps like MPEG Info X instead.

  3. this is the info i get with MPEG info X:

    Mpeg 1 System File [Video/Audio]
    Muxrate: 1.41 Mbps
    Estimated Duration: 03:19.70s
    Aspect ratio 1/1 (VGA)
    Size [320 x 240] 25.00 fps 1.15 Mbps
    Audio: Mpeg 1 layer 2
    192 kbps 44100 Hz
    Stereo, No emphasis

  4. I'm not 100% if this works but try to make the following pipe in MediaPipe:

File Browser [choose the demultiplexed input file]
    File Streamer
    MPEG Decoder
    Color Conversion
Add Borders: Top: 0, Bottom: 0, Left: 16, Right: 16
    MPEG Encoder:
    ppmtoy4m: -v 0 -S 420_jpeg -I p -F 30000:1001
    mpeg2enc: -v 0 -f 1 -F 4 -n n -a 2 -b 1152 -I 0 -r 16
