  1. Just a quick couple of questions, I have just discovered my dvd player is not going to play svcds, although it says it should (bush 2020) it plays EVERYTHING else really well, so Im going to try thr vcd header trick, I was wondering if anyone has used this much and whether it works that well??

Also on a discussion note, does anyone think that there will be a way to play xvid movies on a dvd player in the near future??(i know there a special dvd players that play them but I mean on ordinary players????

    Any comments???

  2. The header trick may or may not work (hence "trick"). The only way to know is to try.

As for XviD clips -- NO.

XviD is an MPEG-4 codec and unless your DVD player can decode MPEG-4 (which would require an MPEG-4 decoder chip -- an MPEG-2 decoder chip is not going to cut it) it will not be able to play XviD.

  4. firmware update so the bush 2020 can play svcd's with sound.Use the link below to download the file unzip files and burn to a cdr.Put the cdr into your 2020 and it will update the firmware. On the page its self it dosn't say anything about the 2020 but its all to do with the chips used in the 2020.I'v just used this my self and it works great i'm now playing svd's.It took me a long time to find this so enjoy my hard work.
