    1. Capture straight to MPEG. Realtime encode.
    2. Then use TMPGenc's MPEG Tools to cut the good parts out into new temp files and rejoin the temp files to a final joined file (effectively removing commercials). Takes 5 minutes at most.
    3. Finished. No more steps. Burn your disc.

** I'm sure somebody will come along and try to make you capture AVI, edit in Premiere or VD or something, speak of Huffy this and that, lossless this and that, etc... But in the end... and HOURS later their way... you'll have the same thing I mentioned above. Now if you cannot capture MPEG, you'll pretty much have to do it their harder/longer way. **
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

    Hey . . .

txpharoah - what application do you suggest supreme_commander use for for realtime mpeg capturing? *curious* I've used PowerVCR II a couple of times (profile = DV "excellent quality", video smooting and intelligent noise removal both turned on) but haven't been all that impressed with the quality as opposed to an avi that's been filtered and encoded.

  4. Txpharoah,

I too am interested in what you use to capture and encode in real time without getting motion or audio synch problems. You have described the alternate method to a T that took me months to figure out and get working to my satisfaction. I would love to "step up" to real time at an affordabe price. I assume that there is no double encoding by Tempgenc?
